Ollivier Chenel, director of Galerie Chenel, Paris, will present an extraordinary Egyptian bronze sculpture of the goddess Bastet. One of the most important goddesses in the Egyptian pantheon, the divine cat Bastet is worshiped since the early ages of pharaonic Egypt. Dated from the Late Period, this bronze is exceptional by its size, the finesse of its execution and its provenance.
