About the Work

A masterpiece by Sebastiaen Vrancx, this Interior of the Cathedral of Our Lady, Antwerp is one of the most important depictions of the building and of Catholic life in Antwerp in the 17th century. A baroque portrait of the Cathedral of Our Lady, this view plunges the viewer into the cathedral’s interior in 1621.
