About the Work

Michelangelo Pistoletto, a key figure in the Arte Povera movement, is renowned for his Mirror Paintings, which he began creating in the early 1960s. These works combine photography, painting, and reflective surfaces, challenging traditional notions of perspective, time, and viewer interaction. The figures in the paintings often appear engaged in everyday activities, such as walking, talking, or observing.
