About the Work

Timothy Litzmann employs a unique technique that has made him widely recognized among the artist of Monochrome art. He applies acrylic colors on a transparent plastic board, which is first treated to give opaqueness to one face. Then color is applied on the treated face, so as to let it emerge in a filtered-like effect from the other side.

The results of this experiment are unique and unusual, and reach new possibilities in light/color research.
