About the Work

This design is inspired by both the ornate coffered ceilings of historical architecture and the root networks of shallow-rooted trees as they emerge from the ground. Negative pyramids are arranged along the tripartite ring hoop. Above these, engraved white gold ornaments seem to float, invisibly supported at the edges.

Four of these root-like ornaments extend outward to secure the central sapphire.
