Tim Van Laere Gallery was founded in Antwerp in 1997 by Tim Van Laere.
The gallery represents established international contemporary artists like Jonathan Meese, Adrian Ghenie, Franz West, Gelitin, and emerging, Belgian artists like Bram Demunter, Kati Heck, Ben Sledsens and Rinus Van de Velde.
Profiling itself as an artist gallery, the gallery upholds a philosophy that is based on on a very close and direct contact with its artists. The gallery hosts 6 exhibitions per year and collaborates with numerous Museums for Contemporary Art and Institutes.
In April 2019 the gallery has moved to a 1000 m2 building especially designed for the gallery by architects OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen.
Ever since its foundation in 1997 by Tim Van Laere, Tim Van Laere Gallery has housed numerous innovative, groundbreaking and singular exhibitions, presenting a wide variety of media and genres.
By seeking out artists who are bold enough to start up new conversations in art history and allow us to enter their own constructed universe through their works, Tim Van Laere Gallery has put together a cutting edge program and has helped foster the careers of some of the most high profiled and influential artists.
