Gomide&Co

Gomide&Co is an art gallery based in São Paulo, Brazil, with a program focused on Brazilian and international art. With over 10 years of experience, we stand out for our active presence in the art market and significant production of exhibitions that cross a variety of languages and expressive media. Initiated in 2012, our practice has connected the work of global artists for the first time to a Brazilian audience. Likewise, it contributed to the
internationalization of narratives barely remembered by traditional historiography.

As an initiative of senior partner Thiago Gomide, Gomide&Co is propelled by a team practice that has led to important collaborative achievements with renowned institutions and galleries in Brazil and abroad. Co is short for "company", in the sense of an association of individuals that share projects, but it also denotes collective action and simultaneity. From institutional exhibitions to a solid presence in international art fairs, our brand is guided by meticulous project curatorship.

The integration of contemporary narratives into our program has assumed new contours and continues to radiate ideas, giving rise to multifaceted exhibitions, such as the group shows Conceptual Strategies and Our North Is the South, and to anthology shows on the work of Joseph Beuys, Mira Schendel, Antoni Tàpies, Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato, and Marcel Broodthaers, among others.

In 2021, we have opened a new exhibition space, the Casa Flávio de Carvalho, as well as a new brand, which aims to promote the legacy of Brazilian and Latin American art. In 2022, we will inaugurate a space on Paulista Avenue, which in its more than 500 m2 (1,640 sq ft) combines generous exhibition areas, archives, installations, and research. The opening of a new space in one of the cultural and economic centers of the city of São Paulo is a step that reaffirms our ongoing commitment to the diffusion of art and broader coverage of our program.
