As founder of FENG J Joaillerie d'Art and a jewelry artist from mainland China to globe, FENG J’s visionary approach to artistic high jewelry is brought to life from her Paris atelier and Shanghai studio. In 2022 and 2023, ‘Feuille de Ginkgo' and 'Blue Anthurium' by FENG J were inducted into permanent collections in Musée des Arts Décoratifs Paris and Museum of Fine Arts Boston. FENG J’s creativity for jewelry is 'Painting with gemstone', as if the French impressionist painted with the light, hue and shadow. With the style of color combination by ‘Pigment of Gem', FENG J also invented ‘ Floating Set ’ to make her very own recognition and push the boundary of arts and craftsmanship. FENG J's creations were sold in Sotheby's and Phillips for over millions sold records in total in 2020, 2022 and 2023.
Through the auction event to support Opera Garnier, jewelry artist Feng J was introduced to renowned director James Bort, who has created fabulous campaign films for Hermes, Piaget, and Balmain, among others. His wife, Dorothée Gilbert, is a principal ballet dancer at the highest 'Étoile' level at the Paris Opera Ballet. Their conversations led to an idea, to blend the universes of jewellery and ballet into a short film featuring esteemed ballet dancers, Guillaume Diop (Étoile), Bleuenn Battistoni (Première Danseuse), Mickaël Lafon (Coryphée), and Adèle Belem (Quadrille). It tells the story of Feng visiting the Palais Garnier and being transported into a DayDream of dancers who appear like magical illusions within the walls of the historic opera house.
