Eykyn Maclean, based in New York and London, specializes in museum quality Impressionist, Modern, and Post-War art by established and re-emerging artists. Regularly reviewing clients’ collections, they advise those who wish to buy or sell discreetly and when appropriate, negotiate consignments to auction.
Eykyn Maclean has presented the public with scholarly exhibitions, accompanied by catalogues that include essays by the world’s leading art historians. Past exhibition highlights include In Giacometti’s Studio – an Intimate Portrait, Matisse and the Model, Van Gogh in Paris, Andy Warhol Flowers, and Cy Twombly – Works from the Sonnabend Collection.
Christopher Eykyn and Nicholas Maclean founded the gallery in 2006 after a combined 29 years at Christie’s, where they were co-heads of the Impressionist and Modern Art department.
