The Berardi Galleria d'Arte specializes in painters and sculptors active in Italy between the early 19th century and the mid-20th century. Since 2013, the Gallery has held numerous monographic exhibitions (to remember a few: Karl Brjullov, Hermann Corrodi, Leonardo De Mango, Francesco Paolo Michetti and Giulio Aristide Sartorio) accompanied by the publication of the artist general catalog, thus creating an important opportunity for historical and artistic study. Miscellaneous exhibitions that propose works by different authors are also periodic, while clients are monthly updated on the new acquisitions, which come almost exclusively from private collections.
The Berardi Galleria d'Arte participates in the Florence International Biennial Antiques Fair. Among our clients we have prestigious italian and foreign museums (such as the Sorolla Museum in Madrid, Uffizi Galleries, Mart in Rovereto and the Museum of Civilizations in Rome).
Located in Corso del Rinascimento in Rome, the Gallery is also the logistical headquarters for the cataloging of the works of various artists whose catalog raisonné is in the process of being created by the gallery (among others Camillo Innocenti, Francesco Paolo Michetti and Arturo Noci).
Gianluca Berardi is an art historian, former professor at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", councilor of the Italian Antiques Association and founding member of the "Archivio dell'Ottocento Romano", a cultural association dedicated to study, through exhibitions and publications, the history of art in Rome during the 19th century. Gianluca Berardi is the author of several essays published in the most illustrious national and international scientific journals and of some monographs dedicated to 19th century artists.
