Amanita, founded in 2021, is committed to thought and quality, working closely with artists to mount ambitious, rigorous, and penetrating exhibitions. In addition to providing all around support for early-career artists, Amanita has a distinct interest in exhibitions and programming that consider historical and established artists. This dynamism is a crucial component to the gallery’s focus as a whole.
Our New York gallery features 3,500 square feet of exhibition space in the location formerly home to CBGB, New York's historic punk-rock nightclub. Situated on the Bowery in Manhattan’s East Village neighborhood, the gallery’s museum-quality finishes combined with the still-permeating energies of CBGB make for a singular exhibition experience. Amanita New York also includes studios for artists to work in-site, providing two studio spaces in the gallery’s lower floor.
